It is a bit extravagant for me to have a course dish for lunch at a French restaurant on weekdays. I, however, had the luxury of enjoying delicious and impeccably decorated French cuisine last Friday to celebrate my colleague's birthday.
The restaurant, Bien-être(well, difficult to pronounce French), is located on the first floor of Songwon Art Center. The gray building displays two faces of man and woman each on a curved glass window, giving it a unique look. We, a group of 6 people, had a window seat with the sunlight coming into the room.
What I liked about this place is the sky-blue and white tableware fitted well into the overall atmosphere of the space. I have heard that the ceramics were made exclusively for this restaurant by Korean potter Young Hwan Kim upon request of the chef. We had a lunch course 'A' for 33,000 won for each.
