3rd week toward winter

3rd week of November

Monday
After lunch, I walked around Deoksugung Palace(덕수궁 in Korean) near my work. It was a little chilly and many trees have lost their leaves. After I got back to my office, it started to snow! That was the first snow of this winter. Some parts of the sky were bright with shiny clouds before the snow.

Thursday
On my way back to my office after lunch, I spotted sunlight shining down on some trees, which didn't last long.

Friday
My friend and I went to the streets of Hongik University for dinner. It was Friday night, and the subway was jammed. We found this little tea and coffee house charmingly decorated.

Fall in Mt. Odaesan

October 20, 2013

These are photos from a month ago, when the trees in the Mt. Odaesan(오대산 in Korean) had its best autumn colors.  The mountain is actually quite close to my parents' house in my hometown PyeongChang(평창 in Korean), located in the eastern part of S. Korea.

I went there with my mom that Saturday and walked for 7 hours or so taking in refreshing air along the way. There is a path, called Seonjaegil(선재길 in Korean) toward to the temple at higher altitudes. It stretches out side by side alongside mountain streams with varieties of trees, flowers, and rocks. I was completely enchanted by the view.

Walk to the Hangang River

November 16, 2013

I went for a walk to the Hangang River(한강 in Korean) park around noon. It was foggy along the river, but somehow I had some nice sunshine today. There used to be bunch of flowers and trees, but most of them are gone now. I was glad to see some autumn flowers left, though.

Home flowers

November 13, 2013

For the record, I did not take these pictures. My friend visited a house of her acquaintance in Changwon, the southern beach city of S. Korea, during her vacation.

It turns out that this person has these beautiful plants all over her place. Heard she has her own amazing garden. My friend kindly took pictures of these lovely flowers for me.
