Night cherry blossom in Seokchon Lake Park

March 30, 2014

I have posted about Cherry blossom in Seokchon Lake Park (석촌호수공원 in Korean) and this is how it looked at night. So many people out there, family, friends, and couples, that it was one good evening with all those people enjoying the short moments of blossom together in the same place.

Cherry blossom in Seokchon Lake Park

March 30, 2014

Seokchon Lake Park(석촌호수공원 in Korean) is one of the best places in Seoul to enjoy cherry blossom. The park, next to the Lotte World amusement park, is composed of two lakes, the east and the west. The huge lakes are all surrounded by cherry trees, which present a magnificent view of white and pink blossom in spring.

Luckily for me, it is so close to my house that I often go for a walk to the lakes in the evening. The night view of the cherry blossom is also beyond description. I will post the night cherry blossom soon.

Cornelian cherry blossom

March 22, 2014

Cornelian cherry(산수유 in Korean) trees are one of the first to let people know spring has come. Festivals to enjoy their yellow blooms are held in some cities including Gurye and Icheon late March. These spots are crowded with people on weekends who want to see, smell, feel, and touch spring.

I chose to enjoy the blooms in my neighborhood, mostly in Asian Park and Hangang River Park. The trees just began to blossom, but I could feel spring is close to me.
